TIL a front fork cant hold the weight of a van

*scratches that off the list of todays asperiments*

also...moot point now...but bike dude needs to do something about his brakes....they suck

unless that was all to blame on his reflexes...in wich case dude should probably stick to walking

Wow, frame by frame is even scarier.  Looks like the angle running boards hit his arms was the only reason he even came close to escaping.

The Camry driver isn’t at fault, but holy shit, he never even noticed the van, I guess oblivious Camry driver is oblivious.

That biker got damn lucky

Camry was without its #CamryDent

Van is not at fault because it was merely re- balancing the universe by ensuring all things are as they should be.

the continued burnout after the impact, and the completely no reason to charge out straight like that, makes me assume a medical or mechanical issue is the true root cause of this incident.

truly hope everyone is ok, that was a close call in SO many ways

Yeah it seems like a stuck pedal or something, yeah wouldn’t have posted it if there was any indication of serious injury - I hope everyone’s 100%.

right - I can’t really tell how fast the cyclist was originally going.  Quite possible unavoidable and the dude is just damn lucky. Something going on with the van too (other than just clobbering the toyota) - maybe a smash the gas instead of the brake situation.
